The installation, activation, and registration of the 3ds Max software on a Windows OS is identical to the installation and registration of other Autodesk software products running on a Windows OS.
Important: Before you choose to install the
3ds Max product, verify your system meets the minimum system requirements and your hardware meets the minimum requirements to run
3ds Max.

The default installation path for the 3ds Max 2014 software product on a Windows OS is: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2014.
