About the Profile View panel

Use the Profile View panel to examine the vertical geometry of a road in relation to the existing ground surface.

To display the Profile View panel, expand the Roadway Design tools and click Profile View.

The Profile View panel enables you to examine and manipulate the vertical geometry of a design road. A variety of tools controls how the road profile is shown.

1. Control the ratio by which the Profile View grid is vertically exaggerated.
2. Add or remove details from the Profile View grid.
3. View the extents of the profile.
4. Zoom to a range of stations by dragging these handles toward or away from each other.

   You can also use the mouse wheel to zoom in or out of the profile.

5. Pan along the length of the road by dragging this bar.

   You can also use the left mouse button to pan by dragging.
