The Time Editor is a non-destructive, clip-based, non-linear editor for editing animation at a high level. Unlike the Trax Editor, which requires Character Sets, the Time Editor frees animators by letting them work on any attribute with animation curves, whether it be characters, cameras, colors, and so on. You can easily edit pre-existing animation, such as motion capture (even multi-take FBX files,) or keyframe motion, with intuitive controls trim, scale, loop, split, group, crossfade, controls.
The Time Editor also lets you edit audio with clip-based workflows based on standard audio mixing software to mix animations together to create brand new motion.
The Time Editor also supports a number of advanced workflows:
The Time Editor lets you quickly iterate any number of ideas to achieve your creative goals.
The Graph Editor is the backbone of the animation workflow, and it's now modernized with a more intuitive interface to streamline the process.
The redesigned Graph Editor puts the emphasis on curve visibility by increasing contrast between the curves and the background, simplifying the stacked view, and moving the timeline to the top of the Graph Editor.
