AutoCAD LT Updates

These release notes contain important information regarding the installation and contents of the Update.

Important - The AutoCAD LT 2020.1.6 Update contains the previously released updates for AutoCAD LT 2020.

Installation - If you have installed AutoCAD LT 2020.1.1 Update, you will need to uninstall the Update 1.1 before applying Update 1.6. To uninstall an update go to the Windows Control Panel and click Uninstall a program. On the left pane, click View installed updates and click the update to uninstall.

Applying Updates

After applying this latest patch, the Product Version in the About box will be listed as Q.172.0.0 AutoCAD LT 2020.1.6.

New Feature and Feature Enhancement Summary

Here’s a summary of the new features and enhancements provided in this Update.

Blocks Palette Feature Enhancement
  • Drag and drop actions now apply the settings for Scale and Rotation
  • The display of thumbnail images is improved
  • Tooltips can now be suppressed with the TOOLTIP system variable
Text on Layer Feature Enhancement Sets a default layer for text and multiline text objects with the TEXTLAYER system variable.
Security Feature Enhancement The SECUREREMOTEACCESS system variable has been expanded to control whether ObjectARX programs are restricted from uploading to internet locations or remote servers.

Windows 7 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10

  1. Click Start and then Control Panel.
  2. Click Programs.
  3. Click Programs and Features.
  4. In the left pane in the Programs and Features window, click View Installed Updates.
  5. Find the appropriate update in the list of updates. Click Uninstall.
