Shotgun for VRED does not come standard with VRED. Please contact Shotgun Support for access.
It all starts with the Shotgun Desktop, a software application that extends the Shotgun experience to artists and creative users on their local machine, making it easy to access Shotgun data, launch applications, and run pipeline integration tools directly from their machine.
Open Shotgun Desktop and see the Projects tab with all projects assigned to you.
Click a project to access the pipeline for that project.
If your project uses the standard Automotive Project Config, you will see the following headings. Please note these headings can be configured to meet your needs.
Recent: Displays recently used software and options. Once a tool from the Studio or Creative Tools sections is used, it appears here.
Studio: Displays software, such as Copy Files, File Manager, and Publish options. This is a common place for Python applications specific to your studio.
Automotive: Displays software, such as versions of VRED and VRED, installed on the current machine.
Creative Tools: Displays software, such as Maya, Photoshop, and any other compatible creative software, installed on the current machine.
Important: You must launch all applications from Shotgun Desktop to use the Shotgun integration. If VRED is launched from the Start menu or from the Windows desktop, the Shotgun integration will not work correctly.
