To Add Checklists to a Project

Create checklists for projects in BIM 360 Field.

You can configure checklist templates for specific evaluations in the categories of QA/QC, Safety, and Commissioning. After you set up a checklist template,project members in different locations can complete it.

Create a Checklist Template Manually

  1. Click Profile menu > Project Admin.
  2. Click Checklists and then one of the checklist tabs (QA/QC, Safety, or Commissioning).
  3. Click (+) Add.
  4. In the Add Checklist dialog, enter a name for the checklist template and optionally supply values for other fields. By default, the issues are created for nonconforming items.
  5. Click Add Checklist.
  6. To group checklist items in sections, click (+) Section. In the Add Checklist Section dialog, enter a section name and optional description. Click Add Checklist Section.

    All checklist items you enter appear under that section until you add another section.

  7. Click (+) Item. Enter the item text, set the response type, and set issue-creation parameters. Issue-creation parameters are the default values for issues created from the checklist item.
  8. Click Add Checklist Item.
  9. Repeat these steps to create as many sections and items as you need. There is no limit on the number of sections and items.

Import a Checklist from Another Project

  1. Click Profile menu > Project Admin.
  2. Click Checklists and then one of the checklist tabs (QA/QC, Safety, or Commissioning).
  3. Click Import and then select the From Account tab.
  4. Select one or several checklists and click Import.

Import a Checklist from an Excel Spreadsheet

  1. Click Profile menu > Project Admin.
  2. Click Checklists and then one of the checklist tabs (QA/QC, Safety, or Commissioning).
  3. Click Import and then select the From File tab.
  4. In the Import Checklists dialog, do one of the following:
    • If you don’t have a properly formatted spreadsheet, click Download A Sample and enter your information into the spreadsheet. Rename and save the file. Then click Browse to navigate to the saved spreadsheet.
    • If you have a properly formatted spreadsheet, click Browse and select it.
  5. Click Start Import.
