Lighting Control: Occupancy Controls

The simplest way to reduce the amount of energy consumed by lighting systems is to turn lights off whenever they are not required. Manual light switches are not used as often as they could be. One solution to this problem is occupancy sensors, which sense the presence of people in a space and respond accordingly. These switches are appropriate in spaces where people pass in and out of often, such as private offices, restrooms, storage areas, and conference rooms.
