Customize the Landing Page

The Landing Page is the first page that a user sees when the Autodesk Vault client opens. By default, the page contains a synopsis of the Autodesk Vault client features and provides links to pertinent feature information.

You can customize this page using any HTML editor. Use this page to relay valuable data to your users, introduce memos regarding products or future releases, or display logos and links to sites which your users may find handy.

Note: Information on the Landing Page is visible to all users regardless of their role.

Customize the Landing Page in Autodesk Vault 2014

Follow these instructions to customize the landing page in Autodesk Vault 2014 editions.

Customize the Landing Page

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ADMS [edition] 2014\Server\Web\Services\VaultHTML\index.html.
    Note: The path may be 'Program Files (x86)' for 64-bit operating systems.
  3. Open index.html in any HTML editor.

Remove Automatic Redirect to Live Autodesk.com Web Page

    In Vault 2014, the landing page automatically redirects to a live Autodesk.com page if an internet connection is detected.

    To remove the automatic redirection, edit the index.html file and remove or comment out lines 6 - 24.

Follow these instructions to customize the landing page in Autodesk Vault 2013 editions.

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
