Cloud assets (libraries) are missing in Autodesk Fusion

Issue:

Users reported that in Autodesk Fusion, one or more of the following cloud assets are missing or not available:

  • Cloud CAM Tool Library.
  • Cloud CAM Post Processor Library.
  • Cloud CAM Machine Library.
  • Cloud CAM Setup Sheet Library.
  • Cloud CAM Templates Library.
  • Cloud CAM Print Settings.

Solution:

Check for Cloud Service Outage

Check the Autodesk Health Dashboard for any service outages or degradation that would affect Autodesk Fusion's ability to access the cloud.

 

Enable Cloud Libraries in Fusion Preferences

 Click  - In the top right corner of Fusion, select User Profile > Preferences > General > Manufacture > Check Enable Cloud Libraries

Check for Libraries in the Assets on the web client

 Click  - Check Assets in the web client to download and re-upload the Libraries
  1. Go to the web client.
  2. Select the Assets Library. 
  3. Open the folder associated with the library type (for example CAMTools for Tool library)
  4. Select all.
  5. Download all and wait for it to complete.

Download assets from the Fusion web client

  1. From the web client, empty the folder content into the Trash.
  2. Right-click the downloaded library file on your system to unzip the folder. 
  3. Click Upload in the web client.
  4. Upload all the Libraries.
  5. Check if the Libraries appear in Fusion.
 Click  - Check Assets trash folder to restore Libraries
  1. Go to the web client.
  2. Go to the Assets project. 
  3. Open the folder associated with the library type (for example, CAMTools for Tool library)
  4. Go to the Trash.
  5. Select all.
  6. Restore.

Check for Libraries in the local cache on the system

 Click  - Check for Libraries cached locally on Windows
  1. On the computer that originally edited the library, open File Explorer.
  2. Navigate to the following path: %localappdata%\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\ <AlphanumericID>\W.Login\M
    • Note: If the "M" file is not present in the "W.Login" directory check for "M2."
  3. Within the "M" or "M2" directory, there are alphanumeric folders (for example "D2017012059661301").
  4. Check these folders as well as the "backup" folder for the assets.

  1. If an asset is found upload it to Fusion as a new version.
    • Note: Ensure that no European umlauts or special characters are used on the library name.

  1. On the computer that originally edited the library, open Finder
  2. In the top left macOS menu bar, select Go > Go to Folder...

  1. Navigate to the following path: Mac HD>Users>USERNAME>Library>Application Support>Autodesk>Autodesk Fusion 360> ALPHANUMERIC ID>W.login>M
    • Note: If the "M" file is not present in the "W.Login" directory check for "M2."
  2. Within the "M" or "M2" directory, there are alphanumeric folders (for example "D2017012059661301").
  3. Check these folders as well as the "backup" folder for the assets.
  4. If an asset is found upload it to Fusion as a new version.
    • Note: Ensure that no European umlauts or special characters are used on the library name.

 

Unhide AppData folder on the system (Windows only)

 Click  - Set AppData folder to unhidden in File Explorer on Windows
  1. Open File Explorer. 
  2. Go to the following folder path:

(C:)\Users\<username>\

  1. If the AppData folder does not show, go to View > Show > Hidden Items
  2. Right-click the AppData folder and select Properties
  3. Uncheck the Hidden option for Attributes.

Clear local cache

 Click  -  In the top right corner of Fusion, select Help > Support and Diagnostics > Service Utility > Reset
