To Switch from Default Online Help to Local Help

To override the default Help behavior, you need to change the Help preference setting.

Make sure the 3ds Max Help is installed on the OS.

To switch from the default online Help to the local Help, you need to change the Help preference setting.

1. Launch 3ds Max.
2. In 3ds Max / 3ds Max Design go to Customize Preferences Help tab, select Local Computer / Network. If you are using the default path this is all you need to do. Change the path if you have not used the default location.

Note: To revert to the default location (which matches the Help installer's default), click Reset.
