Unable to connect to Google Earth
In order to perform the Acquire and Publish tasks, Google Earth must be functioning properly; otherwise an error message displays. Some causes of this error are:
- Google Earth is closed during the process of acquiring
- Google Earth is closed during the process of publishing
- Google Earth Pro is not logged into the authentication server
- The latest version of Google Earth was un-installed from the machine where at least two different versions of Google Earth have been installed
- Other unexpected errors. For example, the KML file includes information which is not supported, or there are other issues that require Google Earth to be restarted or reinstalled
Fail to publish or export
When publishing or exporting large and complicated models, the process may fail due to lack of memory.
Acquiring
Acquire does not execute if any of the following conditions apply:
- The Google Earth application has not yet been launched
- The Google Earth main window is minimized
A message may display in either case to explain the problem.
Publishing
Publish does not run if Google Earth is not installed.
