Ability to layer Diagnostic Shaders

You can now layer a Horizontal/Vertical (zebra stripes) or Curvature shader on top of any other diagnostic shader.

  1. Choose ObjectDisplay > Diagnostic Shading if the Diagnostic Shading window is not already open. (By default it is attached to the Control Panel).
  2. Select the objects you want to shade. (If nothing is selected all objects are shaded.)
  3. Select a diagnostic shader.

    The objects display the shader.

  4. Select a second shader from the Layer pull-down.

The parameters of the layered shader appear below the parameters of the original shader in the control window.

    The objects display both shaders.

A Horiz/Vert (zebra) shader applied over a Random Color shader

  5. Choose None from the Layer pull-down to remove the layered shader.
Note: You cannot layer a Curvature shader over another Curvature shader.
