Choose a menu item

The menu bar contains a series of pull-down menus. Each menu contains a group of related commands.

Choose a menu item

1. Click the menu name along the top of the main window.
2. Click or release the mouse on the command name to choose the command.

   Moving the cursor over a menu item highlights it in a different color. This visual feedback helps you select the proper tool.

   Tip:

   Double-click a menu title to reselect the last command chosen from the menu.

What if...?

I can’t find a menu item?

• You can customize your Alias preferences to display a shorter list of menu items. Choose Preferences > Menus > Long Menus to show all menu options.

• Choose Help > Tool Locator and type the name of the menu item to show its location in the interface.
