Select Material and the Material Selection dialog opens. This dialog lists the major plastic family groups available for use in the analysis. To assist in the most appropriate material selection, a brief list of common usage has been provided for each material family.
The relative cost and material plastic impact of each plastic family is indicated by a color coded bar. The longer the bar, the more that material selected will impact negatively on the corresponding indicator.
The most appropriate material family can also be selected by filtering the list based on common applications and attributes of the material. Select the required parameters from the drop-down list and only materials that match the criteria are selected.
Note: The information provided is based on the average use, cost, and plastic material impact for the plastic family. Individual grades and the use of additives could alter these results.
