To measure terrain area and volume

1. Zoom out so you can see the space to measure.
2. Click .
3. Click the starting point, and then click the succeeding points that make up the perimeter of the area to measure. Double-click to finish.

   The measurement information appears over the perimeter.

   

   Volume information appears only if you adjusted the elevation of the measured area, for example, by adding a coverage and adjusting its height.

4. To clear the current measurement, press Esc.

   The tool is still active, and you can measure another area.

Note: You can also see the volume of tunnels that you added to a proposal. In the Proposals Manager, tunnel volume appears as part of the Roads data.
