To use editing commands in a model

  1. To copy features to the clipboard, select the features and press Ctrl+C.

You can copy a single feature, an entire feature class, or multiple feature classes.

  2. To duplicate features, select the features and press Ctrl+D.

When you duplicate features, the original feature remains in place and its duplicate moves with the cursor. When you double-click, the duplicate is placed at the cursor location.

  3. To cut features (remove them from their current location and place them on the clipboard), select the features and press Ctrl+X.

You can cut a single feature, an entire feature class, or multiple feature classes.

  4. To paste the contents of the clipboard, display the target area and press Ctrl + V.

You can cut/copy and paste within the same model, between proposals, and between two open models.

  5. Note: You can undo and redo these editing commands.
