In addition to Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, the following applications and utilities are available for installation in the AutoCAD Civil 3D installation wizard.
Sub-Components Available with AutoCAD Civil 3D
When you install AutoCAD Civil 3D, you can also select to install the following subcomponents:
- Autodesk® Storm and Sanitary Analysis — A comprehensive hydrology and hydraulic analysis application that helps you plan and design urban drainage systems, storm sewers (including highway drainage systems), and sanitary sewers. - Autodesk® Subassembly Composer for Autodesk® AutoCAD® Civil 3D® — Provides an interface for composing and modifying complex subassemblies, without a need for programming. For more information, see What Is Autodesk Subassembly Composer for AutoCAD Civil 3D?
- Exchange App Manager — This plug-in can be used with AutoCAD to simplify the process of managing apps installed from Exchange.
- Exchange Featured Apps plug-in — This plug-in adds a tab to the ribbon that displays promoted, or recommended apps.
When you are installing AutoCAD Civil 3D as part of the Autodesk® Infrastructure Design Suite, you can also select to install the following subcomponent:
- Autodesk® Geotechnical Module — Available only for Infrastructure Design Suite Premium and Ultimate Subscription users, this set of features helps to streamline import, use, and documentation of borehole data.
On the Install
Configure Installation page, under Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014, click the Click to Open and Configure link, and then select the check boxes under Sub-Components.
Features Available with AutoCAD Civil 3D
When you install AutoCAD Civil 3D, you can also select several additional features to install, including Hydraflow Extensions and Survey Data Collection Link Extension.
On the Install
Configure Installation page, click the Click to Open and Configure link, and then click Custom under Installation Type to access the features list for AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Additional Application
On the Install
Configure Installation page of the install wizard, you can select the following additional application for installation:
- Autodesk® ReCap — Converts, or indexes, raw scan file data to a point cloud format that can be viewed and edited in other Autodesk products.
Additional Tools & Utilities
On the first page of the install wizard, you can click Install Tools & Utilities to access the following tools for installation:
- Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014 Object Enabler— A utility which provides access to civil object data in other Autodesk applications.
- Network License Manager — A utility which manages network licenses for your software by "checking out" and "checking in" licenses.
- Autodesk CAD Manager Tools — A utility to allow CAD administrators to modify resource settings after a deployment is completed.
- Autodesk Content Service — A utility (for installation on the network server) to build index and enable searching on shared network folders and in Autodesk Seek. Works in conjunction with Autodesk Content Explorer (preselected feature for installation), which must also be installed.
