Rendering Features Are Currently Disabled

Symptom or Message: After installing the software and trying to launch it, the following error displays:

Rendering features are currently disabled.
You  must install the Rendering library to use rendering features.

Issue: This error typically indicates that the Autodesk Materials library was not installed with the Revit software.

Solution: To resolve this issue, install the Autodesk Materials library, as follows:

1. Start the Revit installation program and proceed to the Install > Configure Installation page.
2. Under Shared Components, select the check box for the Autodesk Material Library.
3. Click Install.

After the installation finishes, restart the Revit software. The rendering library error should no longer display.
