Enable the Styles Library for tube and pipe projects

Tube and pipe styles contain the material criteria used to populate routes and runs. To define and use tube and pipe styles, you must enable the Styles Library for the project so that materials defined in the Styles Library can be used for tube and pipe components. With the Styles Library enabled, you can add new materials to the Styles Library.

Before you edit a project, verify that all files are closed. Otherwise, the project is read-only.

1. Start the Project dialog box using one of the following methods:
   • With Autodesk Inventor started, click ManageProjects.
   • Outside Autodesk Inventor, use the Microsoft Windows Start menu to select Programs Autodesk Inventor Tools Project Editor. The Project Editor panel displays the Edit Project pane.
2. On the Edit Project pane, right-click Use Styles Library, and then select Read-Write or Read Only.
   • To allow adding and modifying materials in the Material Library, select Read-Write.
   • To allow adding local materials only, select Read Only.
3. Click Save.
