Design clevis pins

Insert whole clevis pin connection
  1. On the ribbon, click Design tab Fasten panel Clevis Pin .
  2. On the Design tab:
    • Select the type of placement using the selection list in the Placement area.
    • Specify the pin diameter.
    • Generator designs holes or adds hole or deletes anything.
    • Select the clevis pin type from the Content Center.
      Note: You must be connected to the Content Center server and Content Center must be configured on your computers to be able to select clevis pins.
  3. Click OK.
Note: You can switch to the Calculation tab to perform a calculation and strength check. Calculation is performed when you click Calculate.

Edit clevis pin
  1. Open the Autodesk Inventor assembly with the already inserted Design Accelerator clevis pin.
  2. Select the clevis pin, right-click to display the context menu and select the Edit Using Design Accelerator command.
  3. Edit the clevis pin. You can change dimensions of the clevis pin or change parameters for calculation. If you changed calculation values, click Calculate to see if strength check was OK. Calculation results are displayed in the Results area. The inputs that fail the calculation are displayed in red (their value doesn't correspond with other inserted values or calculation criteria). Reports of the calculation are displayed in the Summary of Messages area which is displayed after clicking the chevron in the right lower part of the Calculation and Design tabs.
  4. Click OK.
