You can change the position of the break symbol or adjust the length of wire or segment to be removed. You can also delete a broken sketch entity.
Change length of the wire or segment removed by the break
The break symbol indicates that length has been removed from the selected wire or segment and the object is shortened. All annotations move with respect to the associated points and their locations are updated.
- Open the nailboard sketch to modify.
- In the graphics window, select a broken sketch entity symbol, right-click, and then select Edit Break.
- In the Edit Break dialog box, change the length of wire or segment to remove.
- Click the green check mark.
Move the position of the break
- Open the nailboard sketch to modify.
- In the graphics window, select a broken sketch entity.

- Drag the break symbol along the wire or segment to the new location.
Note: If the broken symbol is placed over a point on a wire or segment, that point is hidden from view. The point reappears when the symbol is moved.
Delete a broken sketch
- Open the nailboard sketch to modify.
- In the graphics window, select the broken sketch entity, right-click, and then select Delete from the context menu.
