If a wire or cable occurrence is no longer needed, you can delete it from the harness assembly. Any splices on a deleted wire remain after the wire is deleted. Any virtual part assigned to the deleted item is also deleted.
Note: Wires that are part of a cable definition cannot be deleted.
- Select the occurrence to delete.
- For cables, select from the browser.
- For wires, select from the browser or graphics window.
Note: Depending on the wire display settings, the Select command may need to be set to Select sketch elements before you can select the wire in the graphics window.
- Right-click the wire or cable, and then select Delete from the context menu.
If a routed wire is deleted and it is not the last wire in the segment, the segment diameter updates automatically by default.
- If the system is set to defer updates, click Update on the Quick Access toolbar to update the segment diameter.
