- On the ribbon, click
Design tab
Power Transmission panel
Power Screw Calculator
.
- In the Calculation tab, enter input parameters.
- Click Calculate to calculate the power screw. Result values are displayed in the Results area on the right side of the Calculation tab.
- Click OK to insert power screw calculation into Autodesk Inventor.

This procedure creates an example using the sample specifications.
Sample Data:
- Thread Diameter: = 0.5 in
- Pitch: = 1/10 in
- Nut Height: = 2 in
- Factor for End Conditions: = 1
- Max. Length: = 40 in
- Material: Steel SAE 1020
- Safety Factor: = 3

- Start Power Screw Calculator.
- On the Calculation tab:
- In the Type of Strength Calculation, select Check Calculation.
- In the Loads, select Force F only.
- Enter the input parameters according to the sample data.
- Click Calculate to perform the calculation.
- Click OK to insert power screw into Autodesk Inventor.
Tip: Click  Results in the right upper corner to open the HTML report.
