Set and calculate Solid body properties

General Properties

  1. Set the material for all bodies in the iProperties Physical tab.
  2. In the browser, click and expand the Solid Bodies node and select one or more bodies. Alternately, select the solid bodies in the graphics region.
  3. Right-click and select Properties in the context menu to open the Body Properties dialog box.
  4. The name field displays the names of the selected bodies.
  5. Select Update to calculate the read-only value for the selected solid bodies.

Body Appearance

Appearance overrides can be made for individual bodies within a part file.

To override the appearance of one or more bodies:

  1. In the browser, click and expand the Solid Bodies node and select the required bodies. Alternately, you can select the bodies in the graphics region.
  2. On the Quick Access toolbar, click the appearance drop-down arrow and scroll to the appropriate appearance, then click. Alternately, use the drop-down in the dialog box and select the appropriate appearance.
  3. Click OK to finish. The selected bodies change appearance.

Select Strip Overrides to remove unique face appearance overrides and set all faces to the Body Appearance definition.
