Sets library paths for the location of Mechanical Desktop files used as assembly components, and the proxy files that contain the linking data for each file.
Add the file locations of the Mechanical Desktop files and the proxy files to the project before you add Mechanical Desktop components. If you do not, this wizard runs when you try to place a Mechanical Desktop part.
Access: | |
---|---|
In an assembly file, click Assemble tab Component panel Place . If you did not add Mechanical Desktop file locations in Libraries, the path wizard runs automatically. |
Named path not defined |
Displays the path for the file you select, and notifies you that it is not specified in the project libraries. |
Specify Mechanical Desktop file location |
Adds the path for the Mechanical Desktop files to the library paths in the active project. Location specifies the path to the Mechanical Desktop part files. Enter the path or click Browse to navigate to the part files. Library path name assigns a name to the path. Enter a name or accept the default name. |
Destination Directory for the proxy file |
Specifies the path for the proxy files. Enter the path, or click Browse to navigate to the path. The path is automatically assigned the same name as the Library name for the part files, preceded by an underscore (_) character. Do not change the proxy file name. |
Named paths created |
Displays the named paths that were created. The first path contains the Mechanical Desktop Part files. The second contains the corresponding proxy files. |
