Create Ribbon Cable

Sets the connectivity and the placement of the ribbon cable on the connector, selects the raw ribbon cable definition to use, and defines the basic path.

Access:

In an active harness assembly, click Cable and Harness tab Create panel Create Ribbon Cable .

Start Connector

Sets the connectivity for the ribbon cable.

Connector sets the connector to begin the ribbon cable and reverses the side on which to create the ribbon cable.

Note: The outward direction button is disabled if the selected connector has not been authored with two outward directions.

Start Pin sets the connector pin at which to terminate conductor one for the ribbon cable. Click the arrow to select from the list.

Orientation reverses the orientation of the ribbon cable as it is terminated to the connector.

End Connector

Sets the connectivity for the ribbon cable .

Connector sets the connector to end the ribbon cable and reverses the side on which to create the ribbon cable.

Orientation reverses the orientation of the ribbon cable as it is terminated to the connector.

Ribbon Cable ID

Displays or sets the ribbon cable ID, which is the unique name for the ribbon cable occurrence within the assembly. It is also the name used in the browser.

Category

Displays or sets the category in which the ribbon cable is organized, if applicable.

Name

Displays or sets the library name of the selected ribbon cable.

Properties

Displays the library ribbon cable properties for the ribbon cable to create.
