Mold Boolean

Automatically remove a component

  1. In the Mold Assembly tab, click Mold Boolean.
  2. In the Mold Boolean dialog box, Auto Remove tab, click Interference Analysis. When the analysis is complete, components display in the Interference list.
  3. In the Interference list, select components and then add them to the Cutting Tools list or the Body list.
  4. Click Apply or OK.

Manually remove a component

  1. In the Mold Assembly tab, click Mold Boolean.
  2. In the Mold Boolean dialog box, Manual Remove tab, click Cutting tool. Then, in the graphics window, select the mold base components.
  3. Click Body, and then in the graphics window, select the mold base components.
  4. Click Apply or OK.

Edit a removed component

  1. In the Mold Design browser under Mold Boolean, right-click a Mold Boolean node, and then click Edit Feature.
  2. In the Mold Boolean dialog box, modify the settings.
  3. Click OK.

Add a component

  1. In the Mold Base tab, click Mold Boolean.
  2. In the Mold Boolean dialog box, click Add.
  3. Click Unite Body, and then in the graphics window, select a body.
  4. Click Join Body, and then in the graphics window, select a body.
  5. Click Apply or OK. The Unite Body is upgraded to include the Join Body, and the included Join Body is invisible.

Edit an added component

  1. In the Mold Design browser under Mold Boolean, right-click a Mold Boolean node, and then click Edit Feature.
  2. In the Mold Boolean dialog box, modify the parameters.
  3. Click OK.

Delete a Mold Boolean

  1. In the Mold Design browser, under Mold Boolean, right-click a Mold Boolean node, and then click Delete.
