Position path and profile for sweep feature

Create two work planes that intersect

• Sketch the profile that represents the cross section of a sweep feature on one plane. Sketch the sweep trajectory on the intersecting plane.

or

Create an intermediate toolbody , such as a block.

1. Click the Sketch command, then click a planar face of the block.
2. Sketch the profile that represents the cross section of the sweep feature , then click the Sketch command to end the sketch.
3. Click the Sketch command again. On a planar face that intersects the plane of the profile, sketch the sweep trajectory, and then click the Sketch command to end the sketch.

When you create the sweep feature, choose an intersect operation to leave only the volume of the sweep, and remove the toolbody (block).
