Use the dialog box to enter parameters for a wrench opening in Shaft Component Generator.

Access: |
Ribbon: Design tab  Power Transmission panel Shaft. On the Design tab, select Cylinder in the tree control. In the Section features drop-down menu, select Add Wrench.

Dimensions
Enables wrench opening dimensions editing.

Name |
Displays the name of the parameter. Name of the dimension is used in the Calculation tab and in the Results pane. Column is not editable. |

Size |
Click the Size field to insert a value. Click Measure from the context menu to measure dimension in the Autodesk Inventor window. Click List Parameters to display list with parameters. Click to select the parameter and insert the value to the Size edit field. Click Values from the context menu to see the list of recommended dimensions. |

Description |
Displays the description of the parameter. Name of the dimension is used in the Calculation tab and in the Results pane. Column is not editable. |
Position
Use the drop-down menu to specify how the wrench opening position is measured within the shaft section.

Measure from first edge |
Select to measure the wrench opening position from the left edge of the section. |
|
Measure from second edge |
Select to measure the wrench opening position from the right edge of the section. |
|
Centered |
Select to place the wrench opening to the center of the section. Note: If you select the Centered option, you cannot specify the Distance value.
