Edit feature by redefining value in sketch

Change a feature by changing values after you create it.

You can select a different profile, change the size or angle of geometry, choose a different method to terminate the feature, or choose whether it joins, cuts, or intersects another feature.

  1. In the graphics window or the browser, select the feature to edit.
  2. Right-click, and click Edit Feature. The feature sketch (if applicable) and the feature dialog box displays.
  3. Change values for the size or angle of geometry, the method to terminate the feature, or whether it joins, cuts, or intersects another feature. If you click Profile to select a different profile, other values are not selectable until you select a valid profile .
  4. To update the feature with the new values, click Update.

Change the feature type from solid to surface.

  1. in the browser, right-click the feature, and click Delete, but retain the feature sketch geometry
  2. Use the sketch geometry to recreate a feature, and select a different feature type.
Note: Placed features such as holes, face drafts, and chamfers do not have sketches. To resize a placed feature, use its respective dialog box, such as the Hole dialog box, to enter values.
