Add text in part sketch

  1. On the ribbon 3D Model tab Sketch panel , click Create 2D Sketch, and click to place a sketch plane.

    or

    In the browser, right-click a sketch icon, and select Edit Sketch.

  2. On the ribbon Sketch tab Draw panel , click Text .
  3. In the graphics window, click to place the insertion point for the text, or click and drag to define the text area.
  4. In the Format Text dialog box, use options to select text font, size, orientation, stretch, and so on. Then enter the text in the text box. Enter line breaks as needed.
  5. Click OK.
  6. The text you specify is placed in a bounding box on the face. Click an edge to resize the bounding box, or click the center to move it.

Edit text in part sketch

  1. In the browser, right-click the sketch that contains the text.
  2. In the graphics window, right-click the text and select Edit Text.
  3. In the Format Text dialog box, modify any options or text as needed, then click OK.
  4. If you used the text in an emboss feature, the feature updates with changes to the text.

Move text in part sketch

    After you place text in a sketch, you can drag it to a different position.

  1. Right-click the sketch icon in the browser and select Edit Sketch.
  2. Click the origin point on the upper left corner of the text, then drag to relocate.

The text you specify is placed in a bounding box on the face. Click an edge to resize the bounding box, or click the center to move it.
