Mechanical Desktop Model/Layout Import Options dialog box

Specifies the data to translate. On the Model page, specify how to translate parts and assemblies. On the Layout tab, specify how to translate layouts as drawing views.

Access:

Click Open and select the file. Then click Options, and select Import, and click OK. Click Open to start the DWG File wizard.

Translate

Parts and Assemblies check box is automatically selected. Clear the check box to skip parts and assemblies. All Layouts as Drawings with Views translates layouts into Autodesk Inventor drawing views and annotations. Each DWG file with layouts to translate creates a separate .idw file with one sheet per layout. Not available if Parts and Assemblies is not selected. Selected Layouts as Drawings with Draft Views translates a selected layout into 2D geometry. Requires that a layout is selected before continuing.
