During forward route creation only, when the Auto-Dimension option is checked on the context menu, sketched route segments are automatically created using normal sketched dimensions . It does not affect the route sketch previously created when this option is not checked.
Once a route is finished, sketched dimensions and driven dimensions can be switched using the Driven Dimension command.
- In the route environment, if the 3D Orthogonal Route tool is not activated, do any of the following:
On the ribbon, click
Route tab
Create panel
Route
, and then click the last route point you just created.- In the Model browser or graphics window, click the last route point and then click
Route tab
Create panel
Route
.
- In the Model browser or graphics window, right-click the last route point and select Route.
- In the graphics window, right-click and select the Auto-Dimension check mark.
- Define the next route point.
Sketched dimensions are added to the new route elements.
- To cancel creating sketched dimensions for forward route sketch, right-click and clear the Auto-Dimension check box.
- Continue with forward route creation.
