Returns the mass parameters for the part in its construction frame. Body properties are accessed from the context menu for parts, subassemblies, and welded groups listed in the mobile groups folder.
Access: |
In the Dynamic Simulation browser, in the Mobile Groups folder, right-click a component (part, subassembly, or welded group) and select Body Properties. |
Manual |
Enter the mass parameters manually. The default is for automatic calculation of these parameters by the software, rather than manual entry. The software calculates this data according to the shape and density of the part. Checking that this box enables the Mass, Center of mass, and Inertia matrix at center of mass fields. Note: If you select Manual mode and change a value, edit all the other values here accordingly.

|
Mass |
The mass of the component. |
|
Center of mass |
The X, Y, and Z Coordinates of the center of mass in the coordinate system of the component. |
|
Inertial matrix at center of mass |
Ixx, Iyy, Izz, Ixy, Ixz, Iyz vector components of the inertial matrix at the center of mass in a coordinate system parallel to the construction coordinate system. |

Scale |
Sets the scale of the vector to the left. Use it to make all of the vector visible in the graphics window. The default is 0.01. |
|
Color |
Opens the Microsoft Windows standard Color dialog box so that you can select a color for the vector to the far left. It is the color of the vector of that type as it appears in the graphics window. |
