Lengthen/Shorten Frame Member dialog box

Extends or retracts a frame member.

Access:

Ribbon: Design tab Frame panel Lengthen/Shorten

Extension Type specifies the member to lengthen or retract, the extent of the change, and the distance to extend or retract.
Select	Specifies a frame member to lengthen or shorten.
Lengthen - Shorten buttons	Defines the placement of the extension or retraction: Lengthen-Shorten Frame Member at one end Lengthen-Shorten Frame Member at both ends.
Extension	Selects or enters a length to extend (a positive number) or retract (a negative number) the frame member.
Delete existing end treatments	When selected, deletes the existing end treatments on the lengthened or shortened end before the command is executed. Note: The pick point controls which end of the frame member is lengthened or shortened. The command fails if there are already some other end treatments on extending/retracting end.
