Use the dialog box to enter parameters for cone in Shaft Component Generator.

Dimensions
Enables cone dimensions editing.
Unlock the edit field to enable automatic update of the value in case you change the shaft parameters that influence such value. For example, if you lock the First Diameter value, and you update the diameter of previous shaft section, the cone diameter value updates automatically.
Name |
Displays the name of the parameter. Name of the dimension is used in the Calculation tab and in the Results pane. Column is not editable. |
Size |
Click the Size field to insert a value, or select a value from the displayed list. Click Measure from the context menu to measure dimension in the Autodesk Inventor window. Click List Parameters to display list with parameters. Click to select the parameter and insert the value to the Size edit field. Click Same as Previous from the context menu to enter the diameter value of the previous shaft section. Click Connect to Previous from the context menu to enter the diameter value of the previous shaft section, and to connect the cone to the previous shaft section. The edit field is locked and value is automatically updated when you change the diameter of the previous shaft section. Click Same as Next from the context menu to enter the diameter value of the next shaft section. Click Connect to Next from the context menu to enter the diameter value of the next shaft section, and connect the cone to the next shaft section. The edit field is locked and value is automatically updated when you change the diameter of the next shaft section. Note: Displayed options in the context menu depend on the shape of the designed shaft.
