Use the Create Wire command to insert wire occurrences. You specify the pins to connect to, the wire ID, and the category and name of the wire definition. The wire that is inserted is an occurrence wire. Properties such as color, diameter, and minimum bend radius are inherited from the library definition.
Each wire is assigned a Wire ID. The default value is “Wire<num>” where <num> is incremental with each wire that is inserted.
When selecting pins to connect to, a tooltip displays with the RefDes and the pin number when you hover over a pin.
Wires are displayed as centerline objects by default although this setting can be overridden for individual wires or for the harness assembly.
