Make parts or subassemblies adaptive

1. Click Assemble tab Component panel Place . Then select and place a part into the current assembly.
2. In the graphics window or the browser, right-click the part, and then select Adaptive.

Right-click a subassembly, and select Adaptive to make its parts and features adapt. Only features designated as adaptive in a part file are recognized; likewise, a part must be designated as adaptive in the assembly file.

Set Adaptive status and other characteristics

1. Select the part, right-click, and click Properties.
2. In the Properties dialog box, Occurrence tab, click Adaptive.
3. To fix a part at its current size and shape, right-click the part, and then clear the checkbox for Adaptive.
