Use Sheet Metal Rule name as text parameter

It is often useful to include the name of the Sheet Metal Rule in text used within a drawing. To do so you must:

1. Within the sheet metal part, right-click the top (folded model) node and select: iProperties.
2. In the iProperties dialog box click the Custom tab.
3. In the Name field, enter a name for the custom property that will hold the name of the Sheet Metal Rule.
4. In the Value field enter the following: “=<Sheet Metal Rule>” (without the quotation marks).
5. Click Add
6. Click Apply
7. Click Close
8. Within the drawing, add a text note.
9. In the Format Text dialog box, select Custom Properties - Model in the Type dropdown selection field.
10. In the Format Text dialog box, select the custom parameter name that you defined for the Sheet Metal Rule.
11. Click Add Text Parameter.
12. Optionally add any additional text before or after the parameter.
13. Click OK to place the text note containing the name of the Sheet Metal Rule.
