Create a sprue bushing by using the linear method
- In the Mold Assembly tab, click Sprue Bushing.
- In the Sprue Bushing dialog box, select a sprue bushing type from the drop-down list.
- In Placement, select Linear.
- In the table under the component image, modify the parameters.
- Click Reference 1 and then in the graphics window, select a reference edge. Click Flip Side to reverse the direction of the reference.
- Click Reference 2 and then in the graphics window, select a second reference edge. Click Flip Side to reverse the direction of the reference.
- To position the component in the graphics window, click a dimension line and then in the Edit box, enter a value.
- In Offset, enter a value to move the bushing along the Z axis.
- Click OK.
Create a sprue bushing from a runner sketch
- On the Mold Assembly tab, click Sprue Bushing.
- In the Sprue Bushing dialog box, select a sprue bushing type in the drop-down list.
- In Placement, select From Runner Sketch.
- In the table, under the component image, modify the parameters.
- Click Point and then in the graphics window, select a point on a runner sketch.
- In Ratio, set the distance along the runner sketch. Not available if you select a sketch point or end point.
- In Offset, enter a value to move the bushing along the Z axis.
- Click OK.
Edit a sprue bushing
- In the Mold Design browser, right-click the Sprue Bushing node, and then click Edit Feature.
- In the Sprue Bushing dialog box, modify the settings.
- Click OK.
Delete a sprue bushing
- In the Mold Design browser, right-click the Sprue Bushing node, and then click Delete.
