Export Destination dialog box

Sets the destination file options when you export an Autodesk Inventor drawing as an AutoCAD Drawings (.dwg) file.

Note: Saving drawing files as Autodesk InventorDrawings (.dwg)

Autodesk Inventor files saved in Autodesk Inventor Drawing (*.dwg) format can be opened directly in AutoCAD where you can view, plot, and measure the Autodesk Inventor data. Autodesk Inventor drawing views remain linked to the parts and assemblies from which the views are created. However, this drawing data is not fully editable in AutoCAD. If you require a drawing that is 100% editable in AutoCAD, then export the file.

Access:

In the Save AsSave Copy As dialog box, select AutoCAD Drawing (.dwg) as the file type. Click Options. Click Next in each dialog box to open the subsequent dialog box.

Source Data

Selects one or more sheets for export

All Sheets exports all sheets in the current IDW file. Clear the All Sheets check box to select each individual sheet you want to export.

A sheet icon is displayed next to the name of the sheet to indicate the status. When views are out of date or links are missing, a different icon appears. This status is an indicator only and does not prohibit export.

Model Geometry Only

Controls the data that is written to the DWG file. By default, the check box is not selected, which indicates all data is exported to the DWG file. Select the check box to export only Model, Base, and Projected view data.

Export Options

Data Scaling specifies scaling and destination for exported data. Select an option from the list. See the description in the message area.
