Customize dialog box- Keyboard tab

Add and modify custom command aliases and shortcuts.

Access

Ribbon: Tools tab Options panel Customize , and then click the Keyboard tab.

Keyboard

Categories

Filters to display all the commands associated with a category. Select a category.

Key Filter

Narrows the view of associated commands. Select a filter.

Keys

Lists keys that are assigned as keyboard shortcuts and command aliases.

Accept and Reject

Assigns (Accept) or discards (Reject) a shortcut. Available when you click the Keys field next to a command.

Command Name

Lists names of commands associated with the selected category.

Type

Lists types as assigned alias or shortcut, or blank (not assigned).

Category

Lists command categories.

Use default multi-character Command Aliases

When selected, the multi-character command aliases delivered with Autodesk Inventor are in use. Not selected default.

Reset All Keys

Removes all custom keyboard shortcuts and command aliases, and restores defaults based on the setting of the "Use default multi-character Command Aliases" check box.

Note: This check box is not reset.
Copy to Clipboard

Copies contents of the Keyboard tab, including headings, to the Clipboard. Can paste into a spreadsheet, or other document. If selected during edit of a shortcut, any changes to the shortcut are discarded and reset to the last value.

Buttons

Export

Saves the customized settings in an .xml file. Click Export to open the Export Customization Settings dialog box. Select a file location, enter a file name, and then click Save.

Import

Restores customized settings from the .xml file saved during export.

Note: Close all Autodesk Inventor files before importing your settings

To retain your custom settings, import your settings after installing a new Autodesk Inventor release.

Close

Click to close the Customize dialog box.
