Add corner chamfer to sheet metal face

Use Corner Chamfer to add chamfers to one or more corners of a sheet metal part. You can create chamfers defined by a single distance, a distance and angle, or two distances. All chamfers created in a single operation are one feature.

Create a corner chamfer with a single distance

  1. On the ribbon, click Sheet Metal tab Modify panel Corner Chamfer .
  2. Select One Distance.
  3. Select the corners to chamfer. Only model edges representing chamfers can be selected.
  4. Specify a chamfer distance.
  5. Click OK.

Create a corner chamfer with a distance and angle

  1. On the ribbon, click Sheet Metal tab Modify panel Corner Chamfer .
  2. Select Distance and Angle.
  3. Click the sheet metal edge the chamfer is angled from, and then click one or both corners on the sheet metal edge. Only sheet metal edges and model edges representing corners can be selected.
  4. Specify a chamfer distance and angle.
  5. Click OK.

Create a chamfer with two distances

  1. On the ribbon, click Sheet Metal tab Modify panel Corner Chamfer .
  2. Select Two Distances, and then click the corner to chamfer. Only a model edge representing a corner can be selected.
  3. Enter Distance 1 and Distance 2. Optionally, click the arrow to list recently entered values and click to select one.
  4. Optionally, click Flip to reverse the distances on the model.
  5. Click OK.
