- On the ribbon, click

Slotted Hub Calculator

- On the Calculation tab, enter calculation parameters.
- Click Calculate to perform the calculation. Results are displayed in the Results area.
- If the calculation results are satisfactory, click OK to insert slotted hub joint calculation to the Autodesk Inventor assembly.

This procedure creates an example using the sample specifications.
Sample Data:
- Torque: T = 45-lb ft
- Shaft Diameter: d = 1.0625 in
- Pitches:
- Type of loading: Repeated Load
- Material: steel grade 50

- Start the Slotted Hub Joint Calculator.
- On the Calculation tab:
- In the Type of Strength Calculation, select Hub Length Design.
- In the Load area, enter Torque = 45.
- In the Dimensions area, enter Shaft Diameter = 1.0625 and Pitches b = 1, c = 0.9.
- In the Joint Properties area, select Repeated Load and click the button next to the Material edit field, and select the material and type of loading from the database.
- Click Calculate to perform a separated hub design check.
- Click OK to insert slotted hub joint calculation to the Autodesk Inventor assembly.
