Using the Tube and Pipe Angle Calculator

If the required fall rate or slope angle of a self draining line is not known, use the tube and pipe angle calculator to help you determine the required angle.

  1. Create a new self draining style or edit an existing self draining style. If you edit an existing self draining style, clear the value of the custom elbow in the fittings list to select the calculator.
  2. Choose the calculator icon .
  3. In the calculator dialog box, enter the values for vertical drop and horizontal distance. Specify the round up or round down increment value.
  4. A read-only calculated angle value is displayed in the Angle and Slope fields.
  5. When finished, click OK to accept the calculation and close the dialog box. Clicking OK enters the angle in the custom elbow angle box in the style. Click Close to discard the calculation and close the angle calculator dialog box.
