- On the ribbon, click Annotate (ESKD) tabSymbols panelWelding Symbol.
- In the graphic window, click the location on the drawing where you want to add the welding symbol. The location you select changes color.
- Move the cursor to a different location. A leader line extends from the target to the cursor.
- Click to set a point.
- In the Welding Symbol dialog box, add the weld information. Either type the appropriate weld information, or use the context menu options.

Expand the dialog box to add more information

- In the Welding Symbol dialog box, click Expand >> .
- In the Symbol section, select one or more symbols to add to the welding symbol.
- To add Technical Requirements, in the Technical Requirements section, click Technical Requirements.
- In the Requirement section, add all requirements that apply to the weld. Either type the appropriate weld information, or use the context menu options.
- Click OK.

Save Welding Annotations to favorites
Click Save in the lower part of the dialog box.
Insert welding symbol from favorites
- Click Favorites.
- Click the Welding Annotation information you want to add to highlight it.
- Click OK to add the information to the Welding Annotation field in the Welding Symbol dialog box and close the Favorites dialog box.
Add surface texture symbol to weld
- In the Welding Symbol dialog box, click Surface Texture.
