Create an iProperty expression

1. In the Bill of Materials dialog box, select the cell where you want to create an expression.
2. Click Create Expression.
3. In the Property Expression dialog box, create the expression:
   • To insert a property, select a property in the Property list, and click Insert Property.
   • To insert a string, in the Expression field, place the cursor at the desired position and type the string.
4. Click OK to close the Property Expression dialog box.
5. The evaluated value is displayed in the BOM table cell, and the expression is displayed in the Formula toolbar.

Tip:

• You can create the expression manually in the BOM cell or in the Formula toolbar: Insert the equal sign, and then insert the expression in the correct format, for example: =DIN1026 - U 140 x <G_L>.
• You can create a template file with pre-defined expressions for iProperties to unify your parts lists, or other documentation.
