Create sketch chamfer

Place a chamfer at a corner where two lines meet, an intersection, or two nonparallel lines.

To begin, use commands on the Sketch tab to create lines to chamfer.

1. On the ribbon 3D Model tab Modify panel, click Chamfer .
2. Select Create Dimensions to add dimensions to chamfers.
3. Select the setting of the Equal to Parameters command:
   • Accept the default setting (On) to set parameter values equal to the first-created chamfer in the current command instance.
   • Cancel the selection (Off) to assign numeric values rather than parameter values to chamfers.
4. Select a chamfer type and enter values:
   • Distance Enter the offset distance.
   • Two Distances Enter Distance 1 and Distance 2.
   • Distance and Angle Enter an offset distance and angle.
5. Click the lines to chamfer.
6. Continue to apply chamfers, then click OK to quit.
