View control

Use view representation nodes in the Mold Design browser to preserve and recall display configurations of a mold design assembly.

Create a view representation

First, configure a display in the graphics window that you want to recall later. Then, do the following:

  1. Under the Mold Design node, right-click the View: name node and click Edit.
  2. In the Design View Representations dialog box, enter a name for the new view, and then click New.
  3. Click Activate.

A new View: name node is added and appended with the given name. The new view is active.

  4. To set properties, or copy the active view representation, right-click the view representation node in the list under the View: name node. Then, select one or more of the following:
    Option Description
Copy Duplicates the current view representation and makes it active. Appends the name by an incremental number.
Lock Prevents changes to the display characteristics of the view representation. Components that are added after a view is locked are not visible while the view is active.
All Visible Makes all components visible.
    All Hidden Hides all components.
Remove Color Overrides Restores the default colors of components.

Modify a non-active view representation

  1. In the Mold Design browser, under the View: name node, right-click a non-active node.
Note: A tick displays next to the active view representation node.
  2. Select one of the following:
    Option Description
    Delete Deletes the view representation.
Activate Activates the selected view representation.
Copy Duplicates the current view representation and makes it active. Appends the name by an incremental number.
Lock Prevents changes to the display characteristics of the view representation. Components that are added after a view is locked are not visible while the view is active.
