Once a cable is created in a harness assembly, you can change the cable wire's termination status. Move the cable wire to different pins by reterminating the cable wire ends. To change the termination status, you disconnect a terminated wire, or connect a spare wire. The route state, display status, and any occurrence level properties that were added to the cable remain unchanged.
From within a harness assembly, each cable wire in a cable can have one or both of its ends moved by reconnecting to different pins. If spare cable wires exist, you can connect them. Each time a spare cable wire is connected all properties on the cable wire are reset to the library-level property values.
The cable wire is redrawn using the new pins and updating the length, as needed.
You can continue changing pin connections on the same cable wire until you close the dialog box.
Each connected cable wire in the harness assembly can be disconnected.
The cable wire termination status updates.
To close the dialog box without disconnecting a selected cable wire, press the ESC key or click Cancel. Alternatively, you can disconnect a cable wire using the context menu. Right-click the cable wire in the browser or graphics and select Disconnect.
